By submitting models, images, and all content to The Steel Lion Award you represent and warrant that:

• you are entitled to do so and grant licenses to such content as set forth below.
• submission of such content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• your disclosure of content does not violate any obligations of confidentiality that you may have towards any third party.

By taking part in this user contest, the customer grants the contest organizer, and its distributors' permission to use the submitted material for any kind of publication such as books, websites, newsletters, testimonials, brochures, advertisements, social platforms or any other way. By participating, the participant also certifies that there are no copyrights owned by any third party on the submitted material or the participant has explicit permission from the owner to use it.

ConSteel Solutions Ltd. as an organizer has the right to terminate The Steel Lion Award without prior notice anytime.

Submission

Anyone can apply in real project category who has an active Consteel license. You can submit one or more projects for the contest. Once a project has been entered and won in Consteel contest, it cannot be entered again.

Project submission and Student category: The end of structural design (eg. finished model) for all projects should be within the previous 5 years and all diplomas should be within the previous 2 years (between January 2024 and February 2026). You do not need to have an active Consteel license as a student.

Applying for your project in one or more of the five categories ensures that all aspects of your work - creativity, technical skill, and innovative use of Consteel tools - can be recognized.

Steel Lion category: For general steel structural design projects that demonstrate innovative, practical, or pioneering solutions in Consteel. Any project size or complexity is welcome, focusing on the structural engineering quality and creativity.

Cold‑formed structure category: Projects using cold‑formed steel members, profiles, or structures in Consteel. Focus is on innovative, efficient, and safe design solutions that leverage the advantages of cold‑formed steel systems.

Small-scale project category: For smaller-scale projects where ingenuity, creative detailing, and problem-solving are more important than size. Any project demonstrating smart use of Consteel for compact or simple structures is eligible.

Pangolin category: Projects submitted with scripting solutions need proof using the Pangolin plugin or Descript scripting language in Consteel during the project by submitting additional model files (.gh from Rhino-Grasshopper) or descript files exported from Consteel.

FALCON category: Projects applying the FALCON plugin for wind load generation in Consteel. Entries should demonstrate the use of CFD-based simulations or zoned wind load assessments to improve structural design decisions and efficiency.

Important note: By submitting the model to the competition, you grant the right to ConSteel Solutions Ltd. to use the model and the enclosed materials for advertising (marketing) purposes.

Schedule

You can start submitting your projects on 10 December 2025, at 00:00 AM (CET). The submission deadline is 15 April 2026, at 11:59 PM (CET).

ConSteel Solution Ltd.'s in-house expert team together with external professionals from the industrial and academic areas will evaluate each project internally by 4 May 2026.

The winner of each category will be announced at the International Consteel Meetup on 13 May 2026.

Evaluation

The jury will take the following factors into account:

• The level of Consteel usage in the structural design - the quality of the Consteel model
• The complexity of the structural design demand
• The uniqueness, technical level, and creativity of the structural solution
• The level of presentation (description and number of attachments)

What do the winners receive

Prizes will be announced soon.

All the winners will be announced at the International Consteel Meetup on 13 May 2026 and will also receive honorable recognition on our website.

*The software license period may start within 1 year from the date of the award, at a date to be agreed.
